Reports to: Fabrication Manager/ Shop Supervisor
Supervise: N/A
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The basic function of this position is to fabricate products that meet contract specifications.
AUTHORITY & ACCOUNTABILITY
The Fabricator has the authority to train employees within their
respective area and within compliance of company policies and procedures.
The Fabricator has the authority to consult with Engineering,
Drafting, Purchasing, and Receiving as necessary to obtain any additional information.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
DUTIES
The duties of Manufacturing Fabricator shall include, but are not limited to, the following:
Accept drawings and use the information to fabricate the component(s).
Use proper fabrication procedures to produce products safely, to design specifications in a timely manner as to maintain schedule and budget.
Actively participate in training of persons with lesser experience.
Complete all paperwork necessary and submit to the necessary department.
Perform any welding or metal finishing according to company standards.
Perform any manufacturing equipment operations safely and efficiently as required.
Perform flat pattern layouts as required.
Perform CNC programming as required and according to company policy.
Control scrap waste of materials.
Fill out documentation of quality checks as specified by Relco Policy. Other duties as assigned
MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE
Fabricators will be considered to be performing satisfactorily when the following standards of performance are met or exceeded.
All duties described are performed in a timely and efficient manner.
Quality documentation is performed to company policy. A personal “satisfactory” or better rating on performance evaluations is maintained.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Education: HS Diploma
- Experience : At least one year experience working in fabrication
- Knowledge: Excellent organizational skills.
