Job Title: HVAC Installation Manager
The primary function of this role is to oversee all aspects of the HVAC service and installation portion of the department including service, inspections, and small contract jobs as well as installation/retrofit projects. This position reports directly to the HVAC Service Manager. The Installation Service Manager is responsible for directly supervising all HVAC service department staff at his branch. The Installation Service Manager must ensure that the company satisfies the customer’s requirements so that the customer receives quality, timely service during installation, inspection, repair and maintenance of equipment.
This job requires the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced multi-tasked environment with a focus on management, customer satisfaction and a continued increase in sales volume year-to-year with minimal customer attrition.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESInclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for implementing programs designed to meet or exceed corporate objectives in the areas of revenue, sales, margin, and operating income.
- Responsible for the identification, selection, and development of new and existing customer accounts and assisting the sales staff in maintaining a positive and profitable relationship with said customers.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective communication with customers, ensuring contractual obligations are met, and actively participating in quickly resolving any customer problems.
- Responsible for insuring that all field work is completed on time, within budget and in a manner that meets customer expectations.
- Responsible for setting fair and manageable assignments for assigned personnel. Ensure that effective performance measures are assigned, and that employees are motivated to achieve and exceed objectives in a professional, timely, and quality manner.
- Organize and develop an effective team to efficiently deliver service and to grow the business.
- Responsible for finding quality individuals who possess the necessary skills, knowledge, and experience required.
- Identify areas where training and development will enhance the opportunity to meet current and future business needs. Periodically review subordinates’ performance, identify areas of improvement, and implement necessary development and training programs or other appropriate actions.
- The installation service manager will maintain a comprehensive refrigerant management program (CFC/HCFC/HFC) to ensure compliance with all federal rules and regulations regarding the handling and disposal of refrigerants. This will include ensuring all technicians and employees handling refrigerants carry a universal certification and maintain a database with photocopies of all certifications for presentation to authorities if requested.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Installation Service Manager is responsible for directly supervising office and field staff to include Service Coordinator, HVAC Sales Managers, and Pipe Fitters.
QUALIFICATIONS

- High school diploma or GED is required
- A valid driver’s license with a clear driving record is required.

- 7+ years’ experience in the HVAC field, including sales experience, is required.
- Knowledge of industry standard practices for service and inspections is required.
- Significant experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) applications is required.
