Portland State University's Capital Projects & Construction (CPC) department is recruiting for a talented individual with experience in full-cycle construction project management with an innovative focus on sustainability and accessibility. Reporting to the Assistant Director of CPC, this position oversees projects by providing timely, cost effective, and professional services that enhance the instructional, research, and service goals of the university.
The Project Manager will receive in-depth on-the-job training and will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and construction of capital construction and repair projects with a total budget of less than $5M. In consultation with colleagues across the university, this position interviews, hires, and directs the work of design consultants and construction contractors in order to execute the project work from conception to completion. Working closely with CPC architects, drafters, engineers, and construction services staff, this position may also assist with the completion of larger and more complex projects.
