CAD Drafter Audio/Visual Systems

Were seeking a CAD Drafter with experience in the audio/video (A/V) industry to join our growing design and engineering team. This role plays a key part in producing precise, professional CAD drawings that bring cutting-edge A/V systems to life in commercial, educational, entertainment, and corporate environments.

Whether you're drafting rack elevations, signal flow diagrams, floor plans, or riser schematics, your attention to detail and knowledge of A/V systems will ensure smooth communication between engineering, sales, and installation teams.

Key Responsibilities
Create detailed A/V system drawings, including floorplans, riser diagrams, rack elevations, and cable schedules using AutoCAD (or similar).
Interpret and convert system designs, redlines, and engineer sketches into technical drawings.
Maintain drawing standards and file organization according to project and company requirements.
Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Update drawings as needed throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications
2+ years of CAD drafting experience, preferably in the A/V or low-voltage industry.
Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software (Revit a plus).
Understanding of audio, video, and control systems and how they are installed/integrated.
Familiarity with industry standards such as AVIXA, CTS, or ANSI.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans.
Preferred But Not Required
Experience with Bluebeam, Visio, or D-Tools.
CTS certification or similar.
Knowledge of construction workflows and documentation processes.
