Maintenance Mechanic**
**Job Description**
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing regularly scheduled preventive maintenance on all production equipment and machinery. You will also handle emergency repairs, ensuring compliance with all safety requirements, including OSHA regulations. Your role will involve maintaining mechanical availability of both production and facility equipment, ensuring all maintenance and repairs are conducted accurately, completely, and in a timely manner.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform regularly scheduled preventive maintenance on all production equipment and machinery.
+ Execute emergency repairs on all production equipment and machinery.
+ Conform to procedures regarding spare parts usage.
+ Conduct repairs and maintenance according to OSHA and other safety requirements, including lockout/tagout procedures.
+ Maintain mechanical availability of all production and facility equipment.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintenance technician tasks.
+ Expertise in mechanical systems, preventive maintenance, pneumatics, hydraulics, and industrial machinery.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
+ Capability to sustain physical work for 8+ hours on a standard 3 shift operation or 12+ hours per day on a 24/7 operation.
+ Physical abilities including pushing, pulling, sight, walking, climbing, and crouching.
**Work Environment**
The work environment consists of moderate noise levels in the office and higher noise levels in the shop, where protective ear-coverings are recommended. You may be subject to external weather conditions and required to work overtime on short notice due to equipment or facility breakdowns. Repair work on heavy equipment often involves being seated. Interview times are typically Monday-Thursday from 10 AM to 2 PM, with a 3 PM slot available on Tuesdays. The position is available on the 3rd Shift (Sunday through Thursday) and includes a 12-hour night rotation (6 PM to 6 AM, rotating 3 days/4 days).
