Slayden Constructors Inc SCI a wholly owned subsidiary of MWH Constructors Inc MWH is currently seeking an experienced Carpenter to support a critical infrastructure construction project in Dexter Oregon Slayden Constructors is a leader in the civil construction industry in the Pacific Northwest focused on water and wastewater infrastructure Over the last 40 years we have ingrained our reputation with our clients on successful projects bringing positive impacts to local communities Grow your career with a team that is committed to delivering quality projects timely and safely while supporting our guiding principles People Matter Team Unity Solutions Driven and Forward Focused For the cranes onsite for this project the operator must be able to operate all cranes onsite at any time Must be able to provide references of operator performance and disclose any incidents or accidents operator was involved Link Belt RTC8065Link Belt TCC800Link Belt TCC1400Essential Functions Operate crane under general supervisionManipulate or depress crane controls to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written verbal or signal instructionPerform minor repairs as neededInspect crane for safely issues on a daily basisDetermine if any parts are malfunctioningComplete job tickets service quality summaries and all other necessary paperworkLift position and place machinery equipment or other large objects at construction sites and industrial facilitiesDetermine load weights and check them against lifting capacities in order to prevent overloadParticipate in work planningParticipate in critical lift planningMove levers and pedals to rotate crane on Tower and to raise and lower load lineInspect cables hooks and blocks for wear and install or replace as neededWork with in precise limits and standards of accuracyOperate crane according to signals from helper Start and stop crane engineFollow directions carefullyBasic Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent Documentation must be provided at time of applicationMust be at least 18 years of ageMust have a valid drivers license1 3 years experience in operating cranesComprehend documents such as safety rules operating maintenance instructions load charts and procedure manualsWorking knowledge of equipment capabilities and limitationsAbility to understand technical instructionsKnowledge of load bearing capabilities of all equipmentGood understanding of fluid mechanics and all of the components involved in these processesIf requested the applicant shall furnish a written statement from a medical doctor that heshe has had a physical examination in connection with the application and is physically fit to perform the workRequired to communicate information ideas directions with the capability to perform the task or project discussedMust be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory and with utmost regard for safetyUnderstanding of ANSI B 305 OSHA federal state and local requirements; eg crane set up securing the load controlling the load and hand signals etcPre employment drug screening and background checks requiredBenefitsHealth Insurance medical dental and visionPaid Time Off sick time401k Plan company matching contributions up to 4Employee Referral ProgramLI AS1 LI ONSITE Equal Opportunity Employer including disabled and veterans Please note that all positions require pre employment screening including drug and background check as a condition of employment
