Welder Job Description We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in MIG welding on carbon and mild steel, with the ability to read and interpret welding blueprints. Additionally, the candidate should be able to identify and utilize proper materials and components for welding projects. This role demands a commitment to welding safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The candidate must also be open to further training to enhance their skillset. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on steel, with a preference for mild and carbon varieties. Read and interpret welding blueprints to complete projects from start to finish, including identifying dimensions and measurements. Identify and utilize proper materials and components from inventory for welding projects. Ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols at all times. Essential Skills Ability to MIG weld on steel (mild/carbon preferred). Proficiency in reading and interpreting welding blueprints. 1-3 years of experience with MIG welding, including schooling. 1-3 years of experience in reading and utilizing welding blueprints for projects. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in Stick welding on steel (mild/carbon preferred). Experience with pipe welding (5G pipe certification/fixed open root pipe). Dock doors and fans help manage temperature during warmer seasons. The position operates on a 1st shift from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with overtime available and potentially starting at 6 AM. Compensation is based on candidate needs, performance on tests, and years of experience in the field. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Galion, Ohio. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $33.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
