Drainage Laborer

#Gautier (O&M)H2O Innovation provides public works management services and operations assistance for water and wastewater treatment plants to municipalities, government organizations and businesses across North America. We are looking for a Drainage Laborer to join our team in Gautier, Mississippi. The candidate will play a key role in the construction, maintenance, and repair of drainage infrastructure including storm drains, culverts, ditches, and catch basins. This position involves outdoor, hands-on work with tools, machinery, and crews to ensure proper flow and function of stormwater systems.The day-to-dayAssist with the installation, repair, and cleaning of drainage pipes, culverts, and stormwater systems.Excavate trenches and perform site grading using hand tools or small equipment.Remove debris, sediment, and blockages from storm drains and ditches.Operate tools such as shovels, rakes, compactors, and saws.Support the use of excavation and utility locating equipment.Maintain worksite safety and cleanliness.Follow instructions from supervisors and work effectively within a team.Experience in drainage, construction, or utility work is a plus.The skills we are looking for High school diploma/GED.Valid drivers license.Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in confined spaces or uneven terrain.Willingness to follow all safety protocols and wear PPE.Good oral and written communication skills.Ability to communicate efficiently with the public, team members, and supervisors.Ability to perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.The benefitsOverall remuneration includes:Salary of $15.00-$17.00 per hour.Group insurance plan including dental, vision and telemedicine.401k plan.11 Statutory Holidays.Vacations and wellness days.The successful candidate will have to pass a background check which includes criminal background & motor vehicle report checks, as well as drug & alcohol screenings.
