Machine Operator**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator for both day (5am-3:30pm) and night shifts (3pm-1:30am) located in St. Paul, MN. The role involves setting up and operating equipment that laminates, cuts, and applies adhesives to various paper or plastic products. Depending on experience, you may start as a setup operator or work as a machine assistant.
**Responsibilities**
+ Setup equipment according to job specifications.
+ Measure, weigh, and mix adhesives before adding to the machine.
+ Load and unload products from machines.
+ Monitor equipment and visually inspect for proper output.
+ Ensure products meet specifications by measuring down to 1/16.
+ Troubleshoot equipment or product issues on converting and laminating equipment.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in machine operation and adhesive application.
+ Mechanical aptitude.
+ Experience with assembly and packaging.
+ Ability to read blueprints and use hand tools.
+ Skill in troubleshooting and setup of machines.
+ Experience in production line operations.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 3+ years operating lamination or converting equipment.
+ 1+ year of setup and operation of laminating and converting equipment.
+ Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
+ Forklift operation experience preferred, willingness to learn required.

**Work Environment**
Experience a family feel in a medium-sized shop with approximately 20 staff on the manufacturing floor. The building is older and somewhat cluttered around the machines, but it is clean and heated in the winter. Note that there is no air conditioning in the summer, so it can get hot. The operations manager offers flexibility, but the company requires a team effort to maintain production, especially when unexpected absences occur.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
