Construction Laborer Job Description This role involves working as a Laborer at a cement plant in Greencastle, IN. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and safety in and around the plant using various tools. Safety checks on equipment are crucial, and training will be provided for proper documentation. Responsibilities Perform housekeeping duties using shovels, brooms, trash bins, and wheelbarrows to dispose of cement and dirt buildup around the plant. Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout the day. Conduct safety checks on equipment each day and document findings. Communicate effectively with management and co-workers both verbally and in writing. Work independently or as part of a team, ensuring effective communication. Comfortably work inside and outside, exposed to various weather conditions. Essential Skills High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution. Ability to work different extended hours, holidays, and overtime as required. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs independently and perform physically demanding tasks such as sitting, standing for extended periods, kneeling, climbing ladders, and walking on various terrains. Additional Skills & Qualifications Heavy Equipment Operating Experience. OSHA Training (10 or 30 Hours). MSHA Training. Additional certificates are a plus. Why Work Here?
