Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
Amrize, one of the largest construction materials producers in the world, is recruiting a full-time Ready Mix Plant Foreman for our new project in Texas City, TX.
New hires must train in Port Arthur for a few weeks before the Texas City project starts, and the project lasts 18 months.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
Coordinates and oversees activities of workers engaged in production operations of the RMX division
Responsible work planning, scheduling, directing, performing, and evaluating the repair and servicing of equipment; establishes deadlines and modifies work schedules to meet deadlines; determines what materials need to be produced and establishes production goals; provides estimates of materials, costs, and timelines for production; inspects actual performance and supervises and assists subordinate employees
Inspects work facilities to determine proper utilization and maintenance and adherence to safety regulations
Participate in the preparation of specifications for new construction equipment
Maintain an effective system of communication with supervisors and customers serviced
Other duties as assigned
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
High School Diploma or GED
3 - 5 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
Strong knowledge and understanding related to company products, processes and equipment
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Excellent people skills and have high potential for strong leadership development
Able to handle multiple responsibilities at one time and must be able to deal effectively with people using a facilitative approach
Knowledge and upkeep of any required computer applications used to support the duties
Additional Requirements:
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
