Position Summary:

The City of St. Peters is looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented professional with a passion for project management to join the Facilities Management team. This Project Manager will collaborate with key stakeholders to develop, plan and implement a multitude of capital projects within the municipal government. Additionally, the Project Manager role will focus heavily on complex building systems, upgrades, replacements, and improvements to ensure compliant and efficient long-term sustainability. This is a new position budgeted for FY26 - hired candidate will not be able to start until after 10/1/2025.

Normal Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide great customer service to key stakeholders and internal customers.
  • Collaborates with Facilities Management to ensure projects are clearly identified.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Inspect, assess, and develop written scopes of work and specifications for defined projects.
  • Conducts field surveys, prepares engineers estimates, reviews plans, and develops professional service contracts.
  • Review competitive bids, specifications, and provide technical expertise during the pre-bid and procurement process.
  • Manages construction and service contracts, change orders, generates punch lists, and facilitates pay applications.
  • Assists other Facilities professionals with project management as required
  • Facilitates all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker.
  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering or a related field of study, or six (6) years of applicable experience in public works operations, which may include plan review, construction inspection and/or related project management. (An Associate's degree in a related field may be substituted for two years of required experience.)
  • Motor Vehicle Operator's license valid in the state of Missouri.
  • Ability to lift and handle a minimum of 75 lbs.
