Overview

We're building a brand-new product from scratch and need a backend expert to design, architect, and implement API solutions. You'll be responsible for setting up the backend architecture that the Senior React Developer will integrate with on the frontend side.

This is a hands-on role - about

60% coding, 40% architecture

- where you'll work closely with business leaders, product teams, and other developers to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems.

Key Responsibilities

Understand business requirements and translate them into backend architecture and API solutions.

Design and build APIs (public and private) with scalability, performance, and security in mind.

Implement microservices-based architectures and integrate with cloud services.

Deploy solutions in cloud environments, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to align technology with business goals.

Contribute to guidelines, standards, and architectural best practices.

Work in Agile teams, participating in sprint planning, reviews, and delivery.

Required Skills

Proven experience

designing and architecting backend API solutions

from the ground up.

Strong expertise in

cloud computing

(AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform),

API design/development

, and

microservices

.

Hands-on coding experience in a backend language (Python, Java, Node.js, etc.).

Experience with cloud messaging, distributed systems, and ground-to-cloud connectivity.

Ability to lead development efforts, mentor team members, and participate in the full Agile SDLC.
