We are a leading contractor specializing in concrete restoration and historic masonry repair, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage restoration projects from planning through completion. This individual will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of craftsmanship and historical integrity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction project management, with specific expertise in concrete and masonry restoration, and a passion for preserving architectural heritage.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties, but not all duties performed for this position. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manage and oversee multiple concrete restoration and historic masonry projects simultaneously from pre-construction through close-out.
  • Coordinate all project phases including estimating, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, subcontractor management, and quality control.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, historical preservation agencies, and clients to ensure adherence to preservation standards and project specifications.
  • Supervise site activities to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with OSHA and company safety protocols.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Lead project meetings with clients, consultants, and field staff to review timelines, address issues, and ensure clear communication.
  • Monitor project costs and schedules, and proactively manage risk and problem resolution.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations, especially those related to historic preservation.

Minimum Qualifications:

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on concrete restoration and/or historic masonry repair.
  • Proven ability to manage complex restoration projects with historical or architectural sensitivity.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and standards for masonry and concrete repair.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with preservation guidelines such as the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.

Additional Qualifying Factors:

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening (post accepted offer) and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.

This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to: hard hats, steel toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Must always maintain a constant state of mental alertness.

Working Conditions

Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and loud noise.
