Water & Sewer Construction Superintendent Requirements & Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Construction, Environmental Science, or related field (required)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in water/sewer utility work
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or field leadership experience
• GA Water Distribution Level I or II only
• GA Wastewater Collection System Certification Level I or II only
• Valid Georgia drivers license
• Must be fully comfortable with a 24/7 on-call expectation

Water & Sewer Construction Superintendent Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day construction and maintenance projects for water, sewer, and meter systems
• Assign and oversee work for utility crews; ensure quality and safety standards are met
• Conduct site inspections and resolve operational issues in the field
• Manage preventative maintenance activities for pipelines, pumps, valves, and related infrastructure
• Serve as point of contact for emergencies, project issues, and contractor coordination
