Drafter/Designer
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Drafter/Designer with experience in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating multi-level assemblies, designing static assemblies and parts, and generating detailed approval and manufacturing drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Create multi-level assemblies from scratch, referencing design guidelines and previous designs.
  • Design static assemblies and parts for bulk bag filling and discharging.
  • Create approval drawings that detail what the customer will receive and requirements for the equipment to work.
  • Produce manufacturing drawings for in-house and external manufacturing.
  • Specify parts from vendors and communicate with vendors to find parts that match needs.
  • Work independently with little guidance on projects and see projects through design to assembly.
  • Contribute to the team and make an impact in a small company environment.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
  • Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including creating hydraulic or pneumatic schematics.
  • Familiarity with bulk bag unloaders, bulk bag fillers, and flexible screw conveyors.
  • Ability to design articulating assemblies and parts for flexible screw conveyors.
  • Capability to continuously improve designs for manufacturability, ease of assembly, and cost-reduction.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to work independently with little guidance on projects.
  • Eagerness to contribute to the team and make an impact at a small company.
Work Environment

The work environment involves collaboration with a team while working independently on projects. Expect to engage with vendors and handle a variety of tasks related to mechanical design and drafting. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to improve processes for better efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
