PotlatchDeltic Land & Lumber, LLC is hiring a Fully Qualified Electrician for the Warren Lumber Mill. This position is responsible for monitoring all equipment processes to ensure optimum performance and a quality product. Successful candidates will be required to pass a written electrician's test and complete an in-person panel interview.
The hourly rate of pay for this position is $34.36.
Key Accountabilities:
Operational:
- Provide strong troubleshooting expertise of analog and digital controls and 480V, 3-phase power distribution systems, motors, variable frequency drivers, and soft starts.
- Demonstrate a high level of understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, including understanding of encoders, servomotors, and amplifiers.
- Troubleshoot and program Programmable Logic Controllers in ladder logic and statement logic.
- Monitor all equipment processes to ensure optimum lumber production, making all necessary adjustments to process for quality and recovery optimization.
Safety:
- Maintain a safe facility and work conditions conducive to safe working practices.
- Stay up to date on all safety requirements (OSHA) and rewrite applicable JSEA’s to reflect changing safety issues on machinery worked with.
- Work safely at all times and with consistency.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work in hot, dusty, cold, wet, dirty, and confined working environments on occasion.
- Ability to climb or descend stairs, ladders, and rough ground, and work at heights.

- High school diploma with additional specialized training in Programmable Logic Controllers, electrical fields and/or computer sciences required.
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in Electronics or related field preferred
- 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance
- Competent computer skills with both DOS and Windows operating systems, including basic networking.
- Proficiency with electrical schematics with the ability to modify and update drawings, if needed
- Current state journeyman electrician’s license preferred.
- Must be able to pass a qualifying electrician’s exam.
- Must be willing to work night shift and/or weekends.
- NCRC Certification preferred.
