About the Role
As a Mateline Foreman at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in leading modular construction projects with a focus on interior unit finishing. This position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and deep construction expertise to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards. Youll contribute directly to delivering modular projects on time and within budget, while upholding safety regulations and project specifications.

You will collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and site supervisors to coordinate interior finishing tasks, manage on-site operations, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced construction environment, demonstrates strong leadership, and enjoys seeing modular projects through from start to finish.

What Youll Do

  • Oversees and coordinates the installation and finishing of interior structures and fixtures within modular units

  • Interprets blueprints to determine specifications and ensure compliance with building codes and local ordinances

  • Assigns and supervises tasks such as drywall installation, flooring, cabinetry, trim work, and painting

  • Ensures completion of modular unit interiors in alignment with project timelines and quality expectations

  • Inspects subcontractor work for electrical, plumbing, and HVAC to verify compliance and quality

  • Identifies and resolves on-site issues to keep projects on schedule and within scope

  • Enforces safety regulations and conducts training to promote a safe working environment

  • Monitors project progress and adjusts schedules or plans as necessary

  • Manages tools and materials to ensure availability for finishing tasks

  • Reviews and corrects timekeeping entries in UKG for payroll accuracy

  • Promotes a culture of safety and quality on all assigned job sites

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Who You Are

  • 37 years of construction experience, preferably in ground-up commercial and/or multifamily projects

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associates or Bachelors in Construction Management preferred

  • Extensive hands-on experience in interior finishing (drywall, cabinetry, flooring, trim work)

  • Proven ability to read blueprints and interpret construction specifications

  • Experience coordinating subcontractors for MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) scopes

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, UKG, CAE/CAD, and scheduling software preferred

  • Familiar with workforce scheduling and payroll systems

  • OSHA 30-hour certification, First Aid/CPR preferred

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Eligible to work in the United States

  • Willing to travel up to 85% of the time
