YARD MECHANIC - SCREENERS & CRUSHERS

ABOUT THE ROLE

US Equipment Sales and Rentals is seeking a reliable and experienced Yard Mechanic to maintain, repair, and service our fleet of crushing and screening equipment. You'll play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly by performing diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs on crushers, screeners, conveyors, and related yard equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform routine inspections and repairs on crushers (jaw, cone, impact) and screening equipment
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
Weld and fabricate components as needed (MIG, Stick, Cutting Torch)
Maintain and service support equipment: loaders, skid steers, conveyors
Keep detailed maintenance logs and communicate issues to supervisors
Follow all company and OSHA/MSHA safety guidelines
Assist with equipment setup, teardown, and mobilization for jobs

QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years of experience working on heavy equipment, preferably in aggregate/crushing operations
Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Welding and fabrication skills required
Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools
Valid driver's license
Forklift certification a plus
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions
MSHA certification (or willingness to obtain)
