. . 10 , , . . | 's Water & Protection is recruiting for a Styrofoam Process Equipment Operator to join its dynamic team located at its manufacturing site in Channahon, ILAs a Process Operator you will be a high performing member of a three-person team of Process Technicians. Under the leadership of the Site Production Leader and Operations Leader, you will operate assigned areas of the Styrofoam insulation plant in a safe, environmentally responsible and efficient manner, and perform minor maintenance activities.This position operates on a 12-hr rotating shift schedule (3, 2, 2 rotating shift) and will work on assignments in all areas of a tobacco free plant campus.As a Process Operator, you will:Meet behavior expectations in the areas of Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S), quality, productivity, and teamwork and actively participate in continuous improvement effortsInterface with process control computers to optimize and troubleshoot product quality and equipment operationsPerform standard and non-routine testing of product qualityManually set up and adjust process equipment for product changesSafely perform manual operations such as cutting foam during start-ups/jam-ups, manually stacking and grinding foam, and filling solids additive feedersPerform on-shift minor maintenance, predictive/preventive maintenance (PPM), breakdown repair, and scheduled shutdown/turnaround activitiesQualifications:Required:High school diploma or GED equivalentMinimum of 2 years manufacturing work experienceMust be capable of performing simple math computations involving ratios and fractions with or without a calculatorMust possess strong interpersonal and teamwork skills and be capable of working in an empowered team environmentOvertime is required to cover vacancies due to illness, vacation of other team members, and scheduled meetingsMust have a current, valid, US driver's licenseStrongly Preferred:2-year Technical/Trade Degree in Process Technology, Mechanical or electrical fieldProfessional experience demonstrating adept process operations, mechanical or electrical aptitudeIn addition, successful candidate must meet the following physical qualifications, with or without accommodation:Must be willing and able to work in environments that include: working in tight or closed-in spaces, climbing stairs/ladders, working at heights, standing or walking for extended periods of time, frequent bending, reaching, and lifting, working outdoors in conditions that may dirty clothing or include inclement weatherMust be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment, such as respirators, earplugs, goggles, hard-hat, steel-toed shoes, and long sleeve FRC (safety equipment will be provided by DuPont)Must be able to lift 50 pounds and possess full dexterity of the wrists and hands.
