Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hydrotest Foreman to lead and supervise a crew in performing hydrostatic pressure testing, typically on pipelines, fabrication, or other pressure-containing systems. Responsible for planning, executing, and ensuring the quality and safety of the hydrotesting process, while also maintaining accurate records and communicating with project management. Tasks include drying to required penetration or negative dew point.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and Preparation:
Developing hydrotest plans, preparing equipment (pumps, valves, piping, etc.), and ensuring all necessary materials and resources are available.
Crew Supervision as needed:
Leading and directing the hydrotest support crew, assigning tasks, and ensuring work is performed according to specifications and safety regulations.
Quality Control:
Monitoring the hydrotest process, verifying that testing procedures are followed, and inspecting equipment for leaks or other issues.
Safety Management:
Ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with safety protocols and industry regulations, and that the work site is safe for all personnel.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintaining accurate records of hydrotest results, preparing reports, and communicating findings to project management.
Troubleshooting:
Identifying and resolving issues that may arise during the hydrotest process, such as leaks or equipment malfunctions.
Coordination:
Coordinating hydrotesting activities with other trades or departments involved in the project.
Equipment Maintenance:
Ensuring that all hydrotesting equipment is properly maintained and in good working order and up to date calibrations.
Skills and Qualifications
Technical Expertise: Knowledge of hydrotesting procedures, equipment, and safety regulations.
Supervisory Experience: Proven ability to lead and manage a team of workers as needed for certain jobs.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with crew members, supervisors, and client stakeholders.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise during the hydrotest process.
Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations.
Organizational Skills: Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively.
Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various environmental conditions
Individual: must be willing and able to work alone in preparation for upcoming hydrotest jobs. Is a self starter, needs no management, works efficiently and is detail oriented.
Experience in Hydrotesting Pipelines and Fabrication: Required 2 years minimum experience with references

Yard/Office location: Jal, NM
Work area ranges from Carlsbad, NM to Big Spring, TX, generally within 150 miles of Jal, NM
Pay rate based on experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
