Construction Civil Superintendent

Position Description:
The Heavy Civil Construction Superintendent is responsible for managing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing teams, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Essential Job Functions: may include the following or other duties as assigned:
Operations:
Oversee all aspects of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, and execution.
Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and construction workers.
Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Equipment and Maintenance:
Ensure proper maintenance and utilization of construction equipment.
Monitor and manage equipment inventory and usage.
Quality Control:
Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and project specifications.
Address any issues promptly to maintain project integrity.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
Prepare and submit regular reports on project status and performance.
Safety and Compliance:
Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements/Qualifications

Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Commitment to safety and quality standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Manage daily operations on the construction site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and laborers, ensuring work is performed according to specifications.

Oversee budgeting processes, including tracking expenses and managing costs to remain within project budgets.
Review and interpret schematics, blueprints, and contracts to ensure accurate execution of project plans.

Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and adherence to safety protocols.
Communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders regarding project status and issues.
