Job SummaryDominion Energy's VC Summer Nuclear Station (VCS) in Jenkinsville, SC is currently seeking a Generation Project Manager (PM) to support our Nuclear Projects / Project Management. The Project Manager at VCS has the responsibility and accountability for all aspects of the project. These responsibilities include coordinating with project teams, judgement for project activities prioritization, quality of design, timely integration with site schedules, vendor quality management/oversight, quality field implementation, successful post-installation testing and closeout of projects. Responsibilities include:
Responsible for overall project performance from inception to completion of all phases for the assigned project.
Responsible to follow all applicable policies and procedures to implement assigned projects.
Prepare and coordinate project scopes of work, cost, schedules, and budget packages.
Develop, modify, and provide input to project plans.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define business objectives, scope, exceptions, and acceptance criteria.
Coordinate and/or lead project review meetings.
Monitor, coordinate, and evaluate vendor activities.
Monitor and coordinate with various groups activities during all project life cycle phases of projects.
Manage the project in accordance with corporate accounting and project authorization procedures.
Implement project controls and reporting methods/mechanisms as needed.
Update forecast periodically as required and reporting status to management on a regular basis.
Monitor and report on project performance for project scope, schedule, and budget.
Manage changes to projects and assess the impacts of changes.
Prepare and Present project related information to Sponsors, Management teams, including budget committees and corporate and station leadership teams. (Sponsors are ultimately responsible for periodic project status updates to the senior management team).
Provides clear, accurate and timely communications, including status reports with project- specific Key Performance Indicators.
The role may have Non-Dominion Energy Workers (NDEWs) report to them.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & ExperienceThe knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:
BS degree in Engineering, Business or Construction Management required. 7-8 years plus of industry experience in the field of construction, engineering, finance and/or management with a minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in project management.
Nuclear plant projects experience, preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in project management, relevant technologies, and leadership in the assigned project areas.
Strong team building skills, demonstrated skill and ability in effectively leading teams to achieve project goals and milestones.
Effective negotiation skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation capabilities.
Ability to develop, manage and monitor project performance to ensure results meet project requirements and schedules.
Ability to coordinate the resolution of technical problems and implement changes.
Ability to work and develop rapport with all levels of management and staff. Ability to represent the project and the company in public forums.
Other support activities as assigned.
Knowledge of Primavera P6 (scheduling software) is desired.
Experience with managing large, complex projects is desired. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desired.
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
