- Create and review thorough scope/design documentation for potential projects, including scope documents, KMZ files (Google Earth), Transmission Asset Mapping Interface files, and FileNet (engineering drawing database).
- Create and review substation and transmission line estimates at a project level.
- Review supplemental support estimates such as Access Roads, Forestry, SCADA/IT Network, Testing and Commissioning, Real Estate, Project Management, Environmental and Revenue Metering.
- Coordinate with scoping and estimating team members, accounting, engineering, sponsors, regional contacts, and personnel from the supplemental support estimate staff.
- Interpret and review actuals in comparison to estimates.
- Assist in the feedback loop from project execution to ensure accuracy is improving.
- Attend regional meetings with sponsors, protection, maintenance, and other stakeholders to review the status of all open estimates.
- Review, approve, or reject estimate requests in OPPM.
- Build project schedule timelines for substation, transmission line, and support estimates with correct logic.
- Proficiency in estimation and estimating software.
- Experience with transmission line or substation projects.
- Ability to create utility project estimates.
- Strong consulting skills for select projects.
- Capability to assist the Project Management Team.
- Experience in substation and transmission line estimates.
- Familiarity with supplemental support estimates like Access Roads, Forestry, SCADA/IT Network.
- Knowledge of environmental and revenue metering.
- Understanding of project management and real estate considerations.
