Maintenance Technician - Plumbing Technician

MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR - JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to fill an immediate opening at Easton Dylan Realty and Easton Dylan Sewer and Drain in the Watervliet, Cohoes, and Troy areas approximately. The qualified candidate will have at previous experience supervising an apartment maintenance and physical properties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to work on-call as needed.
Assists with decisions about the operations of the complex and makes detailed inspections of apartments, and reports deficiencies.
Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
Schedules and monitors apartment turnovers and inspects all completed work to verify that work is completed to company specifications.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

_ Required Skills/Abilities: _
Knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting/patching and HVAC, preferred.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed.
Proficient at using computers.
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and personal vehicle to be able to drive between work sites and to vendors as needed.

_ Education and Experience: _
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
At least three years of supervising maintenance at an apartment community is preferred.
Five years of similar experience is required.

_ Physical Requirements: _
Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language.
Ability to lift objects weighing 50 lbs. without the assistance of tools or devices.
Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
Must be able to traverse the property and climb steps and ladders to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance.
Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
Must be physically able to perform repairs and operate tools and machinery.
Must be able to perform snow removal.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Schedule:
8 hour shift
Monday to Friday
On call

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
