Remodeling and Building Maintenance Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Building Maintenance & Remodel Professional to join our team. As a Building Maintenance & Remodeling Pro, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and appearance of multiple Condo Developments & Commercial Buildings This is a crucial role in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for our employees and homeowners
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to Carpentry - Drywall Painting - "simple" electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and Cleaning - Exterior Repairs including roofing windows doors and siding
-Perform leak investigations and repairs Locate diagnose and repair any and all types of leaking conditions Including roofing -siding -stucco walls -railings- decks -flashings and plumbing Must be able to open drywall roofing stucco walls ceilings etc. and patch in at a professional level and paint to match & blend with existing finishes
- Conduct inspections to identify and address maintenance issues
- Respond promptly to repair requests and resolve any maintenance-related emergencies
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
- Coordinate with homeowners and management company for access to units and buildings
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment
- Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs
- Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies and equipment
Experience:
- Proven experience in construction and building maintenance or a related field
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints
- Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems -AppFolio
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate with employees, contractors, homeowners and vendors
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise maintenance staff
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or trade school education preferred
-Valid NJ DL and reliable transportation with own hand tools
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in building maintenance - Construction or a related field
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to details
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks as required
- Must be able to work in inclement weather
- Must be able to climb and work on ladders and walk on roofs with no fear of height
