The position performs and oversees advanced and complex welding operations on- and off site. The position will determine job priorities, assign repair orders, schedule work and assist other maintenance personnel when needed.
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Completion of formal training
- At least five years of welding maintenance experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to design, fabricate and repair metal and perform corrosion prevention
- Ability to use arc and Mig welders, plasma cutter and acetylene equipment
- Working knowledge of shop equipment, e.g. drill press, cranes, grinders, saw
- Must possess own tools
- Demonstrated understanding of metal welding theory and practices
- Must pass a pulmonary function and respirator fit tests
- Valid commercial drivers license
- Safe driving for the last five years
- Experience with structural repairs and building erection experience
- Valid Class C drivers license
- Record of safe driving for the last three years
