Industrial Electrician

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in industrial settings. This includes working with various types of conduit, handling high-voltage electrical systems, and ensuring the efficient distribution of power.

Responsibilities

  • Bend 1/2"-1" conduit and up to 4" conduit (EMT, IMC, and others).

  • Work with 480V electrical systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

  • Ensure the efficient and safe distribution of electrical power throughout the facility.

  • Install, maintain, and repair industrial electric controls, including PLCs, motor controls, and other automated systems.

  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).

  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.

  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components using testing equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.

  • Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit or moving and lifting heavy objects.

  • Place conduit, pipes, or tubing inside designated areas.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in conduit bending, especially with EMT, IMC up to 4".

  • Experience working with 480V electrical systems.

  • Ability to ensure efficient and safe power distribution.

  • Skills in installing and maintaining industrial controls, including PLCs and motor controls.

  • Proficiency in electrical wiring according to the NEC.

  • Ability to connect wires to various electrical components.

  • Competence in diagnostics using testing equipment and hand tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable with the National Electrical Code (NEC).

  • Experience in industrial environments, particularly in conduit bending.

  • Blueprint reading and construction experience.

Work Environment

This role is situated in an industrial setting, including environments such as chemical plants, manufacturing facilities, waste water facilities, fueling systems, and agricultural services.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
