This position requires you to be in the office Monday thru Friday 7AM to 4PM. No remote work.

Responsibilities Develop project estimates based on plans and specsRequest quotes for fixtures, equipment, and material from vendorsAttend if necessary on-site walk-throughsPrint DrawingsSt up and send out RFQ'S through bid plan roomDevelop SOW ad RFI lists for new bid projectsMaintain estimation job foldersReview and understand project specsFollow up with vendors and subs on their bid statusAble to read architectural and mechanical plans to develop cost estimatesComplete accurate estimates take-offs using Quote soft onscreen estimating softwareManage multiple bids while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced work environmentOrganize previous takeoffs and estimates for future project reviewperform subcontractor and vendor estimate reviewsAssist in developing initial budgets and estimates for design-build projectsReview cost estimates with management for potential scope gaps and finalizes bid for submissionImpeccable problem-solving skillsAbility to follow directions and take initiative when requiredEnsure timely completion of estimatesManage bid pricing from vendors and subsMaintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractorsInteract with subs and vendors during bid process QualificationsHigh School diploma Required, Bachelors in a related field would be preferredCollege or Trade school experience is a plusExperience in the construction industryExcellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills Hands-on field experience with plumbing and mechanical projects a bonusMUST have experience in project cost estimating in commercial plumbing and mechanical tradesMUST have a strong background and be experience with Microsoft Word/Excel and WindowsONLY full-time employees eligible
