DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Park Maintenance Worker, you will report to the Marsh Creek State Park area to conduct a wide-range of indoor and outdoor maintenance activities. Assignments may be completed independently or with other skilled workers and will entail minor repairs or fixture replacements to buildings and facilities in need of carpentry, electrical, painting, and plumbing services. Duties will require the use of hand tools and small equipment such as dump trucks, weed eaters, and mowers. You will be responsible for general housekeeping and building maintenance by cleaning and supplying restrooms, pit latrines, offices, cabins, and all other buildings. You will also tend to grounds maintenance to include mowing, weeding, planting, and trash removal. This professional may be required to assist park visitors by providing general information in a friendly and helpful manner.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
This is a seasonal, 37.5 hours/week, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits. The season runs from approximately March 2025 until November 2025 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment approximately in March 2026.
This is a seven day a week operation. Work schedule varies and will include weekends and holidays.
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Conditions of Employment:
This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
Other Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
