Overview

The Performance Test Architect/Performance Test Lead will be an essential part of our team to grow the Engineering practice in our OT Control Systems domain and will have an in-depth understanding of how the ADMS system works and its function and non-functional aspects.

The Performance Test Architect/Performance Test Lead is responsible for providing technical expertise and strategic direction to the organization in the area of application performance solutions. This role will contribute to the planning, execution, analysis, and tuning efforts to deliver high-performing end to end applications. They will work as a liaison in requirement sessions and user story creation to ensure that performance requirements, approaches, tools and techniques are built into a relevant performance test methodology for the solution. Responsibilities

  • Having strong knowledge on Utilities – Customer Service or Transmission & Distribution areas.
  • Experience with Outage Management Systems (OMS) or Distribution Management Systems (DMS).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze non-functional requirements and develop test strategies and tool recommendations
  • Experience with GIS (Geographic Information System) technologies
  • Coordination of onsite and offshore teams (through offshore SyncUP calls) for multiple performance testing projects
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in diagnosing complex technical issues
  • Must possess experience using and implementing best practice programs with respect to load generation, bottleneck analysis, usage of modeling tools and statistical analysis.
  • Expert ability to identify to capture/ analyze / interpret technical data - performance metrics from application, database, OS and Network.
  • Ability to clearly characterize system performance results to stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and interface collaboratively with the development, engineering and architecture teams required.
  • Must have hands on experience with scripting and executions using Jmeter or Blaze meter, Microfocus Load Runner/Performance center, Dynatrace and Splunk tools using different protocols like Http/Html, Web services, Citrix, Ajax Truclient etc. and learn /implement new tools as per project needs by conducting quick POCs
  • Proficient in understanding and presenting various performance testing metrics.
  • Should be able to execute and monitor different types of performance tests like Load, Stress, Endurance, Scalability tests using estimation methodologies and prepare performance test strategy, test plan document based on the requirements, testing environment.
  • Hands on experience to develop performance test plans and performance test reports and non-functional attributes.
  • Test management tools including client-ALM, Jira etc. and defect life cycle.
  • Should be able to create test data setup approach, implement test data setup strategies required for performance testing.
  • Consolidate inputs from project teams, estimate performance testing effort.
  • Should have Strong leadership, analytical skills, and ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment.
  • Ensuring that the Requirement Traceability Matrix is updated with the mapping of Test Cases
  • In depth knowledge of ADMS, OMS, DMS, and SCADA functionalities and awareness of the IT system administration portion of the system.
  • Able to provide ADMS subject matter expertise and guidance for both leadership and project team.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Performance Testing
  • Minimum 8 years of experience working with large electric and/or gas utilities and OT Control Systems
  • Strong knowledge of the GE ADMS or OSII ADMS platform is a must
  • Strong client facing, reporting and communications skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Proven experience working with software test management tools such as Jira or HP ALM
  • Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects in parallel
  • Up to 25% travel to client locations

Compensation : In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
