Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
The Machine Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient production processes. This position requires the individual to perform essential functions satisfactorily. Responsibilities
Function as the leader on the production line.
Collaborate with leads, mechanics, and other production employees to address production issues and implement solutions.
Load and unload material rolls from machines and verify machine settings as per the sheet settings.
Manage proper and timely starts, stops, and restarts for machines, remove scrap, and rewind.
Assist with machine setup.
Perform general production activities to ensure efficient production of high-quality products.
Operate thermoforming, automation, and auxiliary equipment such as case tapers, grinders, and stackers.
Inspect finished or in-process products against company standards and specifications for irregularities or rejects.
Ensure compliance with line clearance, raw materials, in-process inspection, manufacturing, and housekeeping.
Conduct basic preventative maintenance, cavity changes, and other technical duties.
Troubleshoot machines for quality issues.
Maintain documentation and perform administrative tasks relevant to plant operations.
Collaborate with shift supervision to understand and develop training needs, structure, and individual progress for the assigned shift.
Ensure the work area is maintained in order and is free of unused items, carts, and machinery not in use to mitigate safety hazards and maintain good housekeeping practices.
Essential Skills
Proficient in machine operation and production processes.
Experience with hand tools and tape measures.
Ability to ensure machines are operational, functioning effectively, efficiently, and safely.
Leadership skills to provide training and support to employees on the production line.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Strong commitment to safety, complying with EHS policies and regulations.
Ability to identify and resolve unsafe conditions or practices swiftly.
Demonstrated safe work habits and adherence to general safety procedures.
Strict adherence to all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LO/TO) procedures.
Compliance with Product Safety and Quality standards, GMPs, and Safe Quality Food (SQF) requirements.

Work Environment
The work environment is hot in the summer and cooler in the winter. The position follows a 24/7 rotating schedule with 1st and 2nd shifts from 6:55 AM to 7:00 PM and 6:55 PM to 7:00 AM, respectively. There is a shift differential for the 2nd shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mcdonough, Georgia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
