Project Architect Employer: Houston, TX, US Location: Thu, Jul 31 '25 Posted on: $95,000 - $115,000annually Pay: PROJECT ARCHITECT House & Robertson Architects JOB DESCRIPTION Professional Registration Preferred | MINIMUM 6 Years Industry Experience As a project architect, you will independently perform a variety of assignments requiring skills in conventional aspects of architectural documentation and administration. We are looking for someone who is: Highly curious, actively seeking new knowledge and expertise; pushing boundaries to learn and grow. Committed to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. Able to gather and interpolate information that suggests new possibilities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Team lead for architecture staff: Establish task tracking and review deliverable expectations with architectural staff. Review project with architectural staff, clarifying project schedule, owner requirements, and the consultant team. Review project weekly with project management to track internal team progress toward milestones. Responsible for project documents: Develop and coordinate technical drawing solutions and strategies providing guidance to less experienced staff. Oversee and maintain adherence to BIM Execution Plan and monitor Revit model management. Maintain office standards and work product expectations with the team, striving toward documentation, not just modeling. Performs quality control of document progress at key milestones and addresses conflicts with management and architectural staff. Oversee Construction Administration: Develop milestone schedule based on contractor's construction schedule to prepare for time-critical submittals and plan out field observation cadence. Track submittals and RFIs and review before returning to contractor and monitor consultant and internal response times to take immediate action for overdue items. Health insurance coverage options of PPO or HSA through BlueShield. HRA contributes 85% of employee premiums. Dental insurance coverage via PPO plan through Delta Dental. HRA contributes 50% of employee premiums. HRA-insured vision plan affording the following allowances: Eye Exam: up to $75 every 12 months Lenses: up to $75 every 12 months Frames: up to $75 every 12 months Immediate eligibility to enroll in 401k Plan with discretionary 3% matching by HRA. HRA is structured as an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) making all eligible employees owners in the firm. Our ESOP allows all participants to share in the growth and prosperity with the opportunity to accumulate capital for retirement beyond our 401(k) plan. Participation in the ESOP occurs after completion of 1,000 hours of service. Paid time off accrual after 90 days employment at a rate of 4.62 hours per bi-weekly pay period. Equates to 15 vacation days per year after full-year employment. Seven paid holidays per year (New Year, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day) along with one floating holiday to be used at employee's discretion. Payment of AIA dues for registered architects. Availability for other professional organization dues or professional development opportunities reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
