Responsibilities:

Assembles and tests control systems per specifications to fulfill production and service orders on a production schedule

Assembles and tests developmental or operational motor-control devices (VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, etc.), switch panels, transformers, solenoids, and other electrical equipment and components according to engineering specifications and knowledge of electrical principles

Diagnoses cause of electrical malfunction, mechanical malfunction, operational equipment failure then performs preventative and corrective maintenance.

Modifies electrical prototypes to correct functional deviations under direction of Electrical Engineer

Provide electrical support to Service Department and customers

Maintain electrical inventory - perform inventory transactions and cycle count

Maintain file management system for electrical control systems

Perform Electrical Shop housekeeping tasks

Availability to travel and work overtime if necessary

Requirements:

Associates or B.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience

2 years working knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, control panels, low and high voltage

Logical thinker with efficient troubleshooting skills

Availability to travel and work overtime if necessary

Mechanical aptitude

Ability to work as part of a team

Good people and communication skills

Able to communicate troubleshooting procedures and solutions to customers and servicemen

Self-managed

Must be able to perform the essential job requirements identified in the Functional Job Description for this position, including the ability to lift 45 pounds

Desired Qualifications:

5 years PLC Programming experience

EOE/M/F/Vet/Disabled
