Job Description
The City of Janesville (pop. 66,809), located in scenic south-central Wisconsin, is seeking a Facility Project Coordinator to oversee construction, renovation, and maintenance projects that keep City-owned buildings safe, functional, and welcoming.

The Facility Project Coordinator will collaborate with contractors, vendors, engineers, architects, and City staff to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and in compliance with codes, safety standards, and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and oversee small to medium-sized facility construction, renovation, and maintenance projects.
Conduct condition assessments of City buildings and equipment, recommending repairs and improvements.
Manage vendor relationships, prepare RFPs, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance.
Coordinate design and technical planning with consultants for facility improvements.
Administer project budgets, track schedules, approve invoices, and maintain project records.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and construction standards.

Ideal Candidate Profile
Bachelor's in architecture, construction management, civil engineering, or related field.
1+ year of relevant experience in facilities management or construction.
Strong project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and GIS tools.
Valid state-issued driver's license at time of hire.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $66,153 - $72,768 +/- DOQ. Starting salary is commensurate with qualifications.
Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off, and Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) participation.
Access to a free health and wellness center for City employees and their eligible dependents.
Additional offerings include 457 deferred compensation, disability benefits, retiree health coverage, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA).

Total compensation (including salary and benefits) - $80,139 - $102,504.
