The successful candidate will be responsible for transforming existing units into modern **1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartments**, completing a wide range of tasks including demolition, framing, drywall, flooring, painting, tiling, basic plumbing and electrical work, and finishing carpentry. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who takes pride in quality work, can work independently or in a team, and has a strong understanding of residential construction and renovation processes. ### **Key Responsibilities:** * Perform full-scale renovations of residential suites * Execute framing and layout changes to convert spaces into 1 and 2-bedroom apartments * Install drywall, flooring (vinyl, tile, laminate, etc.), trim, and doors * Handle minor plumbing tasks (e.g., installing sinks, tubs, toilets) * Complete minor electrical tasks (e.g., installing light fixtures, outlets, switches) * Paint and finish interiors to a professional standard * Assist with demolition and clean-up of job sites * Read and interpret blueprints, floorplans, or work orders * Work closely with site supervisors, project managers, and tradespeople * Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to code * Maintain tools and equipment in good working order --- ### **Qualifications:** * Proven experience in residential renovations or general contracting * Proficiency in using power tools and construction equipment * Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems * Ability to read construction drawings and plans * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail * Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision * Must be physically fit and capable of lifting/moving materials * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required * Own tools considered an asset --- ### **Preferred:** * Red Seal or trade certification (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, etc.) is a plus but not mandatory * WHMIS or safety certification an asset --- ### **Benefits (if applicable):** *Competitive pay * Opportunities for growth and training * Supportive and flexible work environment * Consistent workflow and long-term projects --- ### **To Apply:** Please send your resume and a brief description of your relevant experience.
