Pennoni is looking to add a Senior Construction Inspector to our staff. As a multi-disciplined civil engineering firm that provides 3 rd party Special Inspections and construction materials testing, we are committed to providing quality service to our clients. We are looking for a qualified individual to visit our project sites in the Delaware Valley. This individual will report directly to our Chief Engineer for Construction Materials Engineering and Testing.
Job Responsibilities
Pennoni Associates is currently seeking Senior Construction Inspector to join us on a Full-Time basis.
Candidates may work out of our South Jersey, Southeastern PA and Northern Delaware office. Job sites will be throughout the Delaware Valley.
We expect this person to have relevant experience consistent with, but not limited to:
- Working in the field at construction sites as a construction inspector during building construction and land development activities
- Monitoring the following for compliance with the drawings and specifications: reinforced concrete, engineered masonry, structural steel and welding, spray applied fire-proofing, soils and earthwork, and foundations
- Field testing of plastic concrete, grout, mortar and concrete masonry block, fire-proofing, soils and aggregate, asphalt, welding, bolting and NDT
- Help supervise and train inspectors
- Ability to read drawings and specifications, write reports, create sketches, communicate and coordinate with the engineers, contractors, and clients.
Required Attributes:
- High School Diploma
- At least 5 years of experience
- Preferred Certifications: ICC (Concrete, Masonry, Fireproofing, Soils, Foundations, Steel, Welding), ACI-G1; NJDCA; BS in Civil Engineering or related major, EIT, PE
- Computer Skills: MS Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
