We're seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join a growing contracting firm that specializes in exterior restoration and specialty trades.

About the Role
As a Construction Estimator, you'll analyze drawings, specifications, and RFPs to determine scope and resources. You'll perform quantity take-offs, solicit subcontractor quotes, and develop competitive bid packages. Your work will directly impact the firm's success across a variety of restoration and specialty construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and RFPs to define scope and resource needs
- Perform detailed quantity take-offs using estimating software and manual methods
- Solicit and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
- Develop comprehensive bid packages for public and private sector clients
- Attend virtual pre-bid meetings and occasional site visits (if local)
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure constructability and value engineering
- Maintain historical cost data and update pricing databases
- Track bid outcomes and refine estimating strategies
Qualifications
- Minimum5 years of construction estimating experience, ideally in exterior restoration or specialty trades
- Strong knowledge of masonry, roofing, water proofing, concrete repair, and facade restoration
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, ProEst, or similar)
- Familiarity with NYC building codes, DOB filings, and prevailing wage requirements
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple bids under tight deadlines
Bonus Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- PMP certification
- Experience with public sector bidding and compliance

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
