Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Structural Engineer to lead technical roles in the design of transportation projects, including bridges. This role involves complex structural planning, analysis, and design for transportation and facility projects, client presentations, proposal preparation, estimating project costs, and contract negotiations. The successful candidate will oversee and ensure project quality, schedule, and budget requirements are met.

Responsibilities

• Serve in a lead technical role on design projects for transportation and facility structures.
• Perform complex structural planning, analysis, and design.
• Conduct client presentations and participate in proposal preparation.
• Estimate project costs and engage in contract negotiations.
• Oversee project quality, schedule, and budget adherence.
• Assist in directing and coordinating activities on transportation engineering projects.
• Establish work plans and multi-disciplinary staffing for each project phase.
• Direct and coordinate the activities of engineers and technicians to ensure project progress.
• Supervise a team of junior engineers.

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 3-6 years of experience in structural analysis, design, and plan development.
• Experience with DOT and MTA project design.
• Proficiency in structural engineering, structural design, SAP2000, structural analysis, bridge design, AutoCAD, and Microstation.
• EIT License.
• Experience with Structural Bridge Design and design-build projects.

• Experience working on Design-Build projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of New York, New York.

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
