- Develop designs and specifications for tooling, test equipment, and machinery.
- Coordinate with vendors to produce tooling and associated hardware.
- Integrate hardware into production and research/development cycles.
- Work with customers and technical personnel to ensure production requirements are met.
- Set up prototype equipment and use experimental materials to test designs.
- Discuss project progress and findings in monthly technical review meetings.
- Perform specialized programming, design, or analysis tasks under indirect supervision.
- Maintain product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
- Apply engineering experience to systems integration, configuration management, quality assurance, testing, and analysis.
- Independently conduct high-level assessments and provide recommendations for tests conducted.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical design.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, Catia, and MicroStation.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Strong skills in mathematics and advanced statistical analysis.
- Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and a great team worker.
- Resume of completed projects in automotive and conveyance markets.
- Experience integrating mechanical designs into production or test environments.
- Basic experience working with controls engineers.
- Relevant certifications, registrations, and licenses may be required.
