Needs wireless device experience and have worked on the android and IOS side; Have 5G or LT; Device Architect role Day to day - working with architect team and defining the requirements and test plan and validating all with OEM and ensuring those requirements are implemented and part of the certification process. This is a high level architecture role 50/50 IOS and Android Looking for CDMA, 5G or LTE technologies Description We are looking for a Device Development Engineer 4 with hands on experience with Android and iOS-based devices (Phones, Tablets, Wearables). You have a deep understanding of wireless telecom ecosystem and are passionate and disciplined to work with new and emerging products and technologies. You will work closely with engineering, product management, and vendors to ensure that our devices meet the needs of our customers and align with our overall business strategy. You will collaborate with the stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements. You have a good and deep understanding of current wireless/cellular technologies and evaluate the emerging technologies to identify the challenges and opportunities. You will keep track of the industry trends and advancements in wireless technology to ensure that our products and services are aligned with the latest standards and best practices. You should be able to simplify complex technical concepts to effectively communicate with both technical & non-technical audiences. You will be working with a team of engineers to guide and help them to achieve their tasks. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering/computer science or related field, Master's degree preferred 12+ years of experience in product development, managing requirements, certification testing or related field. Strong understanding of wireless technologies including but not limited to CDMA, LTE, 5G, WiFi, Bluetooth, Data Offload, SA. Good understanding of 3GPP, PTCRB, GCF, WiFi wireless standards Good understanding of key networking and IP communication concepts (TCP/UDP, IP, DHCP, DNS etc.) Good understanding of LTE/5G/IMS call flow Knowledge of key logging tools (QXDM, QCAT, QPST, Wireshark and others) Skills to analyze network and device logs (QXDM, IP packet captures etc.) to validate and create test cases for requirements. Good understanding of the lab test equipment (Emulators, Shield chambers etc.) Familiar with SQL and scripting languages Experience with JIRA/Confluence to manage the processes and requirements. Understanding of network and device provisioning and management systems Must be a good team player. Excellent collaboration and coordination skills to manage a matrixed team from various internal orgs.
