Stantec Consulting Services Inc., Mechanical Engineer (Multiple Positions), Salt Lake City, UT. Work with engineers and designers in the planning and execution of project work for underground and surface mining operations, including scoping, asset assessments, as-built documentation, feasibility studies, and detailed engineering design. Provide technical support during construction and commissioning. Review and analyze technical drawings for possible safety and constructability problems for mining operations. Ensure applicable engineering safety codes, regulations and guidelines are met by design. Attend client meetings and provide engineering support to define needs and project requirements. Mentor junior engineers and engineers in training. Work directly with the clients to define needs and project requirements.40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.). #LI-DNI #GTM

Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 5 years of experience with the following: Design codes including ASME B31, API650, and IPC; and Engineering and design of facilities including pump stations, liquids storage facilities, and compressor stations.

Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience with the following: Mine Health and Safety Regulations; and Mine processing plants, mine dewatering, compressors, pressure piping and pumping applications, and Brownfield condition assessments.

Must have an active U.S. Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days a week.

Travel to various locations throughout the US required up to 50%.

Travel to various international locations required up to 5%.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
