Job Description Join a family-owned land development, surveying, and structural firm as an emerging engineer within their Land Development practice located in the N. Raleigh area. You will be part of a dynamic team working on diverse civil site projects ranging from parks and recreation facilities to mixed-use commercial developments. Responsibilities
- Design and analyze engineering solutions for civil site projects using applicable software and methodologies.
- Assist in preparing project construction documents, including construction drawings, specifications, and necessary calculation submittals.
- Coordinate with project team members such as architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, contractors, and owners.
- Engage in construction administration by reviewing project shop drawings, responding to contractor RFIs, and conducting site inspections.
- Perform site visits and client interviews to gather necessary field information for project design.
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Bio & Ag Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- EIT or EI certification is required, with eligibility to obtain a Professional Engineering license within 2 years preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of civil engineering design experience in civil/site or stormwater roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Civil 3D/Carlson/MicroStation Software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Experience preparing site plans including site layout, utilities, grading, drainage, erosion control, and stormwater management.
- Experience with GIS applications, StormCAD, or other drainage software is a plus.
- A desire to engage with clients and maintain open communication to ensure client satisfaction.
Experience with NCDOT and/or SCDOT design projects.
Experience with floodplain mapping.
NCDOT Level III Erosion Control Design Certification.
Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM).

The individual will have the option of sitting in their Raleigh or Durham NC offices.
