Job Description The Construction Project Manager will manage and maintain all areas of production associated with site feasibility, permitting, implementation, and field surveys. This includes the installation and post-maintenance of red-light violation and speed violation cameras, as well as all vendor and subcontractor contact associated with these operations. Responsibilities
- Oversee permits and site construction for all state photo enforced systems.
- Conduct site engineering studies and surveys to assess site feasibility for camera installations.
- Manage traffic studies, review data for site feasibility, and coordinate report production.
- Oversee the project utilities process from account application to final connection and inspection.
- Organize weekly meetings and provide project status reports to managers and staff.
- Coordinate and review civil engineering plans with municipalities, counties, and DOT.
- Communicate and manage subcontractors, initiate installation quotations, and monitor site installation.
- Maintain accurate costing logs of contractor invoicing and approve submitted invoices.
- Coordinate with the Client Relations department for information sharing.
- Monitor stock items for new project installations, forecast equipment needs, and place orders.
- Oversee electrical and mechanical tasks ensuring compliance with company specifications and codes.
- Coordinate city, county, and DOT submittals and resolve outstanding issues.
- Research and document regulations related to potential new clients or RFP requests.
- Develop full-costing matrices and obligatory agreements for new contracts.
- Travel within Florida for project facilitation, site surveys, and meetings with relevant parties.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Project management experience in construction, especially dealing with subcontractors, permitting, and project planning.
- Knowledge of local codes and guidelines, including FDOT and DOT.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage own work.
- Experience with roadway projects and understanding of the permitting process.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows Desktop applications.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical theories and principles.
- Experience with hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Ability to work independently and meet company standards.
- Bachelors degree in Project Management or Engineering with 2+ years of related experience, or 3+ years of relevant experience without a degree.
- 2-5 years of related project management experience.
- Experience with IP cameras, networking, and utility locating is a plus.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with excellent time management and work ethic.
