About the Role:
We're seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to join our growing team at Thompson Solutions Group. In this role, you'll play a key part in shaping project success by delivering accurate and thorough cost estimates for electrical work across a variety of commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Analyze project plans and specifications to perform precise quantity take-offs
*
Use estimating software to develop comprehensive project cost proposals
*
Prepare detailed scope proposals for owners, clients, and potential contractors
*
Track bid results, maintain bid board interests, and monitor upcoming opportunities
*
Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to gather pricing and forecast commodities
* Collaborate with field leaders and project managers to break down job costs and create detailed breakouts for project turnover meetings

Qualifications: * High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering preferred * Prior electrical experience preferred but not required * Strong organizational and time management skills * Solid understanding of electrical construction principles, codes, and systems * Familiarity with various estimating methods (hard bid, GMP, conceptual budgeting, etc.) * Proficient in computer use; experience with electrical estimating software is a plus * Excellent communication skills for working with internal teams and external partners * Strong math skills and the ability to read, write, and speak English * Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Why Join Us?
