  • Technical Expertise: Conduct environmental assessments, develop compliance strategies, prepare regulatory submittals, and coordinate monitoring programs for air, water, and waste.
  • Client Management: Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring clear communication, quality deliverables, and exceptional service that builds long-term relationships.
  • Business Development & Industry Access:
    • Leverage mining experience and professional network to identify and pursue new mining sector opportunities.
    • Utilize insight into industry environmental compliance processes, procurement systems, and corporate expectations to position services competitively.
    • Build on credibility and trust established through past successful mining projects to strengthen market presence.
  • Team Leadership & Mentoring: Lead project teams, mentor early career staff, and promote technical excellence and professional development.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with regulatory agencies, industry partners, and community stakeholders to facilitate approvals and resolve compliance issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field (Masters preferred).
  • 12+ years of progressive environmental project management experience, including substantial work in mining, air quality, landfill, and aggregate industries.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary environmental compliance programs.
  • Strong understanding of environmental laws and permitting processes (e.g., Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA, SMCRA).
