Project Engineer

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Client is seeking a talented and highly motivated project manager with a variety of design and management skills for the Chicago Office location.

• The selected candidate will work with multidisciplinary teams to oversee various civil engineering projects in both the public and private sector, such as: residential, commercial, and industrial site development, roadway design, stormwater modeling, capital improvement projects, green infrastructure, trail design, and others.

• This opportunity allows the selected candidate to work as part of a broad national team with offices in Chicago, Dallas, and Denver. This role is based out of the Chicago office.

• Civil engineering plan review

• Project oversight

• Effective communication skills for working with personnel, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies

• Report writing

• Technical writing

• Staff management

• Budget and schedule management

• Colleague mentoring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

• 6+ years of civil engineering experience

• Registered Professional Engineer

• Required Skills:

• Excellent project/time management skills

• A desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and flexible work environment

• Ability to manage multiple long-term projects and immediate tasks concurrently

• Ability to work well on teams and individually
