Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Lead to oversee electrical installations and ensure compliance with project specifications. This role involves supporting project objectives, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring quality requirements are met. The position requires a proactive individual with expertise in commissioning and operational phases of industrial electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Abide by all safety rules and help establish and maintain a culture focused on safety.
  • Support implementation of project objectives and procedures.
  • Inspect construction installations for compliance with drawings and specifications.
  • Assist in planning and scheduling construction activities to ensure completion within schedule and budget.
  • Ensure quality requirements of applicable plans, specifications, and standards are met.
  • Monitor progress versus schedule requirements and maintain awareness of measurable quantities to be installed.
  • Identify installation problems, assist in developing solutions, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
  • Maintain awareness of equipment and material transportation schedules to support construction activities.
  • Support Site Management in administration of construction contracts.
  • Conduct meetings as required, including pre-bid, pre-mobilization, contractor orientation, and project status meetings.
  • Verify installation, test, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and operate industrial process electrical devices during commissioning and operational phases.
  • Check drawings, schematics, documents to ensure equipment is installed, tested, and operating per manufacturer and project design.
  • Work with field engineers, owner's personnel, construction team members to complete daily tasks.
  • Perform electrical checks/testing and document per industry standards and project-specific requirements.
  • Follow or create procedures for assigned work tasks in a safe manner utilizing required safety procedures.

  • 4-year degree in Engineering or related field or 10+ years of combined experience in Engineering Design, Gas Compression stations, LNG Plant Startup, and/or Plant Engineering, Operations and/or Maintenance experience.
  • Working knowledge of medium/low voltage installation and checkout
  • Startup and Commissioning experience at a Liquefaction Natural Gas plant

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Self-starter, proactive with effective communication skills.
  • Adequate knowledge of construction standard practices, techniques, quality requirements, applicable codes and standards.
  • Adequate knowledge of construction contracts and labor agreements.
  • Ability to interface with contractors, designers, vendors, and other project parties.
  • Working knowledge of best practices for installation of conduits, cable tray, supports, and cable-pulling techniques.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
