Construction Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage complex to highly complex construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required specifications. This role involves coordinating, planning, and supervising craft superintendents, contractors, and craft activities across various projects, primarily in the mechanical and food & beverage sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage a projects construction activities to meet specifications, delivering the project within budgeted cost and by the scheduled completion date.
  • Coordinate, plan, and supervise craft superintendents, contractors, and craft activities on projects.
  • Oversee discipline-specific scopes of work from $2MM - $10MM with minimal guidance from field leadership.
  • Manage complex to highly complex projects, ensuring they meet specifications and are completed within budget and on schedule.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Science, Engineering, or equivalent job experience.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in construction management.
  • Experience in large industrial/manufacturing projects with budgets ranging from $50 million+.
  • Proficiency in construction safety, mechanical and electrical systems, and subcontractor management.
  • Experience with project management software, specifically Procore and D365.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Team-oriented individual capable of managing others.
  • Demonstrated success in managing the construction scope on mid to large-sized projects.
  • Design/Build experience is a plus.
  • Ability to fully understand project specifications and identify deviations in the field.
  • Superior planning ability, particularly using Lean Tools for schedule, constructability, sequencing, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and capable of using an iPad or handheld device.
  • Experience with PlanGrid and VDC apps is highly desired.
  • Discipline-specific expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, Piping/Plumbing.
Work Environment

The role involves working on-site at various locations, including projects in Virginia for 6-8 weeks, Pennsylvania for 6-9 months, and potentially other locations in the Midwest/Central USA. The position requires travel and offers mileage reimbursement. The work environment is dynamic, focusing on large-scale, highly technical manufacturing facility construction projects.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $72.00/hr.
