Collins aerospace is looking to hire Machine Operator - Afternoon shift , who will operate Fastems automated machinery to produce aircraft parts within the cell.

Work Location: Oakville Facility, Ontario Canada

Shift Hours Weekday Afternoon Monday - Thursday (4:00 p.m. 2:00 a.m.)

What You Will Do

  • Setup machinery, by loading and unloading aircraft parts into the machine.
  • Start and run machinery as per standard procedures.
  • Work alongside with Machinist to optimize machines and produce quality parts.
  • Monitor performance of the process to meet drawing requirements.
  • Monitor machine operation and troubleshoot where necessary & report problems
  • Perform inspection of parts produced with high degrees of accuracy to comply with OSV requirements.
  • Troubleshoot issues and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Support and promote continuous improvement, 5S activities and Standard Work Development in the cell
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications We Require

  • Typically requires Grade 12 diploma, with a minimum of One year of relevant Machine Operator experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • The selected candidate must be eligible to work in Canada; successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Demonstrated ability to operate and use an overhead crane in a safe manner.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (English).
  • Willingness to train in the cell and to work overtime.
